Description
(Extrait du site web)
The York Research Partnership was founded in the spring of 1995 as a collaborative venture involving the University of York and three major institutions in the York and North Yorkshire region. The Partnership functions as a centre for local policy analysis and research which is jointly funded and managed by the North Yorkshire Training and Enterprise Council, North Yorkshire County Council, York City Council and the University of York.
The Activities of the Partnership:

The Partnership undertakes a range of activities including: research projects on local economic and social issues; cross-agency analyses of policy options and outcomes; the dissemination and exchange of data.
Research Projects:

Recently completed projects include a 28 sector projection of employment and economic development in Greater York; an analysis of social housing investment and job creation in South Yorkshire (with Sheffield Hallam University); and an empirical analysis of the local income and employment impact of the proposed Campus 3 development at the University of York.

Two projects are currently underway: a statistical analysis of patterns of unemployment and economic inactivity in inland rural areas, coastal communities and urban areas in North Yorkshire; and (in collaboration with Sheffield Hallam University) an analysis of the employment, health and social dimensions of sustainable development in the ex-coalfield communities of South Yorkshire, supported by the Housing Corporation and a consortium of South Yorkshire Local Authorities and Health Authorities.
