|
The main focus of the research in this grouping is to understand at the molecular and cellular level the complex interactions involved in the closely related areas of developmental and cellular signalling. Craniofacial Developmental Biology forms the main focus of this grouping with major themes of research including craniofacial evolution, odontogenesis, cell signalling and stem cell biology . The strategy of the group is to continue to maintain our international standing and critical mass in the field of Craniofacial Biology. The Group has close to 100 research staff and major funding from the Medical Research Council, Biotechnology and Biomedical Science Research Council, ARC, Wellcome Trust and European Union. All the Group are located in the Department of Craniofacial Development and occupy newly refurbished laboratories and core facilities on floor 27 of Guy’s Tower. |
