So far, the passenger car industry has been the driving force for guiding the fuel cell designs, making the existing ones, only suitable for passenger car and residential or portable applications. In this process of development, the stack has been developed solely as being the more challenging item, then the balance of plant was added to make the Power Module with sometimes non - suitable specifications with the application. For other markets than the passenger car industry, these specifications are not suitable. The aim of FEBUSS is to develop a standardized Direct H2 PEMFC Power Module including the current converters with specifications validated by end users of the transport and stationary sectors and emphasizing the efficiency, the production and operating costs. The project will also propose an amendment of the EIHP draft proposal for the certification of fuel cell power modules.
